When a game's events are assigned to an unknown player, open the match's Resolve Unknown Players control if it is shown. Review the jersey number and footage, then choose the correct existing team player or the available add-player path. Check the updated event and player totals afterwards.
This correction assigns the game's data to a roster record. It is different from inviting someone to claim that record.
In Settings, the Duplicate Players Detected panel appears when matching roster entries are found. Review each entry's name, number, games played, and join date. The panel identifies the record that will remain and offers Merge into … for the duplicate.
Only merge entries that belong to the same person. After a successful merge, their stats and games are combined in the retained player record. Editing permission is required.
Reuse an existing player when preparing an upload. Keep names consistent, and update a jersey number on the appropriate existing record instead of adding the person again. A shared surname or similar name alone is not enough to justify a merge.
Stop making further changes and contact support with the team, player names, and affected game. Explain whether you need an event reassigned, a duplicate merged, or a player claim corrected.
